Mary Miss Fairy

Privacy Policy · Effective 23 August 2026

1. Who this covers

This policy covers the website at www.marymissfairy.com, which is a personal site about the DJ Mary Miss Fairy. It is operated on her behalf by CanMarket, who act as data processor for the site.

There is no shop, no login, no newsletter and no contact form. The site does not ask you for your name, your email address or any other personal detail.

2. What is collected

If you consent to analytics cookies, Google Analytics records anonymous, aggregated information about your visit:

Google Analytics is configured to anonymise IP addresses. No attempt is made to identify individual visitors, and the data is not used to build a profile of you.

If you decline analytics cookies, none of the above is collected.

3. Cookies

Nothing is stored on your device until you choose. Until then Google Consent Mode holds every storage type in a denied state.

CookieCategoryPurposeExpires
cc_marymissfairyStrictly necessaryRemembers your cookie choice so you are not asked repeatedly182 days
_gaAnalyticsTells one visitor apart from another2 years
_gidAnalyticsTells one visitor apart from another24 hours

The consent banner also offers a marketing category. Nothing on this site currently sets marketing cookies, so it is switched off by default and turning it on changes nothing today. It exists so that any future advertising tag is covered by a choice you have already made.

You can change your mind whenever you like:

4. Legal basis

5. Who else is involved

Your data is never sold, and it is not shared with anyone beyond the services needed to run the site:

ServiceRolePrivacy information
CloudflareHosting, content delivery and securitycloudflare.com
Google Analytics and Google Tag ManagerAnonymous visitor statistics, only with consentpolicies.google.com

Images and the cookie banner's own files are served from www.seanreilly.net, which is operated by the same people and sets no cookies of its own on this site.

Pages link out to Facebook, Instagram, SoundCloud, Mixcloud and YouTube Music. Following one of those links takes you onto their platform, where their privacy policy applies rather than this one. Nothing is embedded from them, so they receive nothing about you unless you click.

6. Transfers outside the UK

Google and Cloudflare are United States companies and may process data outside the UK. Both rely on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses to do so.

7. How long it is kept

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months and then deleted automatically. Your cookie choice is stored for 182 days, after which you will be asked again.

8. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to request a copy of it.

In practice this site holds nothing that identifies you, so there is usually nothing to hand over or erase. The most direct control is the cookie preferences button above, which stops analytics collection immediately. You can also block cookies in your browser, or use Google's opt-out add-on.

9. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113.

10. Changes

Any change to this policy will appear on this page with a new effective date.

11. Contact

Questions about this policy, or about anything on the site, can go to CanMarket, or to Mary through the social links on the about page.
